HELL YEAh. I’LL SEE YA SOON.

Tips & info to keep in mind before showing
up to your tattoo appointment

⎯ ❖ ⎯

  • Shop address: Code of Conduct Tattoo 14 E. 11th St. Chicago IL 60605. Located under the L train tracks in the South Loop, near the south end of Grant Park, between State Street and Michigan Avenue. On dry, unfrozen days, you’ll usually spot my motorcycle parked on the sidewalk.

  • You can find metered street parking and a pay-to-park garage in front of the shop. Public transit is very convenient, with the Roosevelt stop for the Red, Orange, and Green lines just a block walk south of the shop. Union Station is a 15-20 minute or less car ride away.

  • A state-mandated waiver will need to be filled out. I'll need a photo of a government-issued ID to scan. Acceptable forms of ID include a driver's license, state ID, or passport.

  • I'll show you the design and stencil on your appointment day. We can easily make sizing, alterations, and minor adjustments on the spot. No stress.

  • You + 1 or 2 friends/significant others only, please.

  • Try to avoid alcohol the night before your appointment. It can lead to excess bleeding during the tattoo and affect the healing process.

  • Get a good night's sleep before your appointment and have a meal to prevent any low blood sugar problems.

  • Try to drink more water leading up to your appointment day. Also, you can moisturize the area to be tattooed a few times daily beforehand. Healthy and well-hydrated skin makes tattooing smoother and speeds up healing afterward.

We have a fresh spring water dispenser in the shop. Feel free to bring a refillable bottle/jug.

  • Wear comfy clothing that aids the tattooing process. For arm tattoos, a tank top or sleeveless t-shirt works well, and for leg tattoos, shorts are better, you get the idea. If you’d like additional coverage, I have disposable drape cloths and patient gowns available, feel free to ask. Keep in mind that ink may stain clothes, so dress appropriately.

  • Feel free to bring a lunch or snacks with you. Tattoos are less painful and we can work more efficiently when your body is well-nourished and rested. You're also welcome to order food or snacks in if you prefer.

  • Feel free to bring a book, headphones, or an iPad to keep yourself entertained with movies, shows, or music during your session. Dont mind talking either, ask me anything. Catching some 💤 is cool too.

  • I prefer cash but also accept credit, debit, and most digital wallets.

︕ Remember, your deposit goes towards the total cost.

  • Wondering on how you will need to take care of your new tattoo? I’ll I'll provide detailed care instructions for your in person, but if you want to revise, tap below.

    Tattoo Aftercare Instructions.

  • Missing your appointment means losing the deposit, and we can't proceed.

If you're running late, let me know through our email or an Instagram conversation. If you're over 40 minutes late with no notice, the session will be canceled without a refund.
